Hiland Lake is a 122-acre man-made lake located in Putnam Township, Livingston County and Dexter Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan. Hiland Lake is an all-sports lake and home to many species of wildlife.
The Hiland Lake Property Owner's Association was formed July 18, 1964 and recognized by the state of Michigan on February 8, 1967. Our board is comprised of 9 elected trustees that represent approximately 300 property holders. As set forth in our by-laws, Hiland Lake property owners are responsible to maintain and repair private roads and bridges, augment maintenance of county roads, maintain lake weed control, detect sources of environmental pollution and inform proper authorities of action, implement such programs and activities as will preserve and add to the beauty of the area and health, welfare, and safety of its members, and exercise the corporate powers and jurisdiction as conferred by Michigan Public Act 137, 1929 as amended. Therefore dues are assessed each year.
Meetings are held the first Monday of each month at 7pm. Location varies and is posted on our website.
Our annual meeting is held in August each year and we have other events throughout the year.
